Hand Painted White Tula Bell

Hand Painted White Tula Bell

This hand painted iron bell gives voice to the centuries-old tradition of crafting bells for livestock. Traditionally cows roam free in India and farmers hang bells on them to keep track of their livestock. During holidays it's tradition to decorate cows with floral garlands and bells for celebrating the harvest of their farms.

With their rustic appeal and delightful noises, cowbells have gained popularity outside of their intended use. Through collaborations with designers and free trade companies craftsman are now using cowbells to create home accents that can easily be hung inside or out.

Handcrafted bells by our third generation of bell makers and hand painted by marginalized women they have taught a trade. Use indoors or outside.
